Throughout the entire history of music, there have been feuds. With band members and girlfriends, managers and fans – there’s a lot to argue about, and boy have we seen some doozies. Today we’re taking a look at 7 of the most famous music feuds. Some will go down in history and others will probably just be forgotten about…along with the pop stars!
Kanye West and Taylor Swift have been fighting recently as a result of Kanye debuting a new album called ‘Life of Pablo’, which featured a track where he says that he feels like he and Taylor ‘might have sex’ and that he ‘made that bitch famous’. Ouch!
Paul McCartney is known to have had his feuds over the years, but by far one of the most famous is with Michael Jackson. It turns out that when Michael Jackson bought the publishing rights to The Beatles’ songs, Paul wrote a letter to Jackson suggesting that he deserved a raise after 30 years of being successful for the company. Jackson replied ‘Oh Paul, that’s just business’.
The ongoing feud between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift started when Perry’s people reached out to dancers Scott Myrick and Leah Adler, asking them to perform during her Prism tour. The problem, however, was that the dancers would have to leave Swift’s tour before it ended. This caused bad blood!
Miley Cyrus and Nicky Minaj are still bickering over an argument they had over the Video of the Year award at the VMA. During the VMAs, Minaj publicly called out Miley after accepting the Best Hip-Hop Video award.
Zayn Malik the famous boy singer who left band One Direction, has been thought to be arguing with Naughty, claiming that he had leaked a video of Malik covering ‘No Type’ by Rae Sremmurd, causing Malik to publicly tell the guy ‘stop pretending we’re friends’.
P!nk is never really in the headlines for feuds, but that changed when in 2015 she said that most acts at the VMAs were ‘gross’ and ‘uninspiring’. Demi Lovato fans quickly took to Twitter to lash out at P!nk. It then ended pretty quickly when P!nk called people out for assuming she was attacking Lovato.
Finally, Remember when Skillrex and Deadmau5 were arguing over the track ‘Where Are U Now’? Well, Skillrex responded to Deadmau5 criticizing the track, calling the guy an ‘a-hole’ and claiming that Deadmau5’s record label is suffering because he’s too negative.
